Kingspan Solar Inc., the US division of world-leaders in solar technology Kingspan Renewables, has announced Texas based Cinco Solar, Inc. as a key regional commercial distributor of its award-winning Thermomax solar thermal evacuated tubes.

Kingspan Solar Inc., based in Jessup, Maryland, was established in early 2009 and Vice President of the company, Declan Croucher welcomes this latest partnership: “As part of the natural progression of Kingspan Solar Inc., we feel that this new partnership with Cinco Solar Inc. will help us expand our remit throughout America. Cinco Solar Inc. has a tremendous track record, built on the same values as Kingspan Solar, and we are looking forward to working with them.”

Cinco Solar, Inc., based in San Antonio, TX, was founded in 2007 by W. Hollis Fitch, a Texas A&M qualified engineer. With over 20 years of operations and management experience in the petroleum industry, Mr. Fitch has built a strong and successful solar thermal business. Cinco Solar, Inc. provides cost saving practical solar water heating solutions for large-scale commercial, institutional and industrial applications. This month, the company was awarded the prestigious Green Building Award for the City of San Antonio.

Mr. Fitch of Cinco Solar adds: “We will utilize a network of experienced sales representatives from the commercial water heating industry to rapidly expand Kingspan Solar’s Thermomax technology throughout the Southern United States. States such as Georgia, Alabama, Texas and New Mexico will be amongst our immediate priorities. We expect to install 1000 collectors in the first 12 months with plans to grow rapidly thereafter. It is truly an exciting time for both organizations and a positive step forward in helping large corporations and institutions save money on their energy bills and reduce their carbon footprint.”

The Kingspan Group PLC acquired the Thermomax brand of solar vacuum tubes in 2007. Kingspan Solar provides commercial and domestic markets with high performing solar thermal systems. At the recent opening of its new world-class manufacturing facility in Northern Ireland, Kingspan Solar announced a $60 million phased expansion, which aims to create more than 160 new jobs across the Division over the next five years.
